Montriond - Avoriaz 1800 Ski Resort

Montriond has been able to conserve the charm of it’s mountain villages and at the same time offer a host of activities suited to people in search of strong sensations and sporting prowess as well as those that just want to contemplate.

The pure calming waters of lake Montriond entice you to swim in it’s natural waters. On the grassy banks, families lay down their towels and put out their picnics. They also have the benefit of a swimming pool specially designed for young children with a life guard on duty for peace of mind. It is the 3rd biggest lake in Haute Savoie, a majestic natural site slightly wild which offers 33 hectares of canoeing whilst the youngsters on ponies walk along the path around the lake.

Better than a zoo, goats out in the open and loved by the children. In the little Lindaret hamlet, at 1467 metres in altitude, a troupe of about 40 goats wonder round freely in amongst the traditional mountain chalets and because of this it is now known as the goat village. While the goats hang around waiting for you to take pictures, families enjoy delicious and authentic meals in typical and local Lindarets restaurants.

In July and August the Ardent cable car is running up to the Linderet plateau where you can do a hike to the fantastic brochaux waterfall.
