Hiking trail arouen Mont Brion

Departure at "Prétairié" (Abondance).
Difficult hike for good walkers going through the "Savolaire" pass , Brion chalets, "Crèvecoeur" pass, "Damoz" lakes and "Damoz" pass.

Take the path to the alpine chalets of Serranants.
Before the top chalets, turn left and pass the fence to reach the big boulder. From there, 3 routes: take the Savolaire pass in the middle. Go on the large flat ground to find the path that climbs the Savolaire coomb.
You reach the Savolaire pass (1930m) by a steep slope. Then go straight down towards the chalets of Brion. You are now in the Aulps valley.

When you arrive at the chalets de Brion, take the path on the right which rises through a forest up to the col de Crèvecoeur.
Once you reach the pass, go down a path that leads to the lower lake of Damoz des Moulins. Then continue along the path that leads to the upper lake, which has now become a high peat bog.

Continue to the Damoz des Moulins pass which separates the Pic de la Corne and Mont Brion. Panorama on the valley of Abondance. Go down the path that winds through the large corridor. At the bottom of the corridor, follow the path on the left and find the uphill itinerary, just before the chalets of Serranants. Then continue to the Prétairié car park.
