Saint Maurice Church
Its construction began in the 14th century and was completed in the 18th century.
Francis WEY, writer of the nineteenth century, missioned through Haute Savoie to describe France this new department just attached to its territory, is surprised by the appearance of the bell tower: "We reach and La Chapelle whose fantastic bell tower is ends with two superimposed lanterns, separated by copper balls ... ". At the beginning of the 15th century, La Chapelle was detached from Abondance to form an independent parish on the initiative of Abbe d'Abondance. The church already present was rebuilt.
Then later, thanks to the bishop François de Sales, the parish of La Chapelle will emerge from the authority of the Abbey and enlarge its church in the 17th century. The current building is a reconstruction of the Sardinian era of the nineteenth century, restored in 2008.
