The Smugglers' Way audio trail.

Follow in the footsteps of the smugglers and customs officials who once played cat and mouse in this mountainous border area between France and Switzerland.

Two hikings are proposed:
- a small loop of a medium difficulty level, to discover with your family. Duration: 2h30, altitude difference: 200m.
- a more demanding circular walk that takes you up to altitude along the border ridges! Duration: 5h, altitude difference: 645m.
Before doing those routes get informed about weather forecast and wear adapted shoes and equipment.

Route: From the Old Customs, walk about a hundred metres to the right of the road in the ascending direction until you find the first sound barrier. Then, take the path up to Pas de Morgins and take the track on the right which enters the forest. You will then reach the forest track. At this level, turn off according to the chosen itinerary (family or hiking):

- Family trail: continue straight ahead, following the signs, up to an area where the landscape opens up. After enjoying the panoramic view of the Cornettes and the border, start the descent to the Ramines car park.

- Hiking trail: follow the Pointe du Midi trail to the chalets of Pertuis d'en Haut. At this level, the route continues towards the Lèche corridor, with the crossing of a stone wall. You arrive at the Linga ski area. Go down the field to reach the track below and continue up to Les Ramines. From here, reach the hamlet of Vonnes by road.
