Abondance

Hiking in the "Mont de Grange" hunting reserve, which has more than 500 chamois deer and mouflon sheep. Pertuis is also an area where marmottes have been reintroduced. Enjoy your walk.

Departing from the main D22 road at "Les Carres" (before Abondance).. Cross the bridge over the river Dranse, and turn left. Follow signs to Pertuis. At the chalets "chez les Ouyes", turn left onto the path that takes you to the chalets at "Le Chon".

After the last chalets in Le Chon, take the path that goes up on your right. Below, you can now see Richebourg.

Arriving at the crossing at "Chable de la Plagne", follow the direction of Pertuis on your left. After 5 min, the path of Pertuis diverges to the right towards the pasture land. Continue on the trail until you reach the summer settlement of Pertuis where you can admire its location within this ancient glacial valley and the remains of a small mountain Lac (a lake dug by the glacier) which dries in late summer and the wide lateral moraine.

Descending, you have a choice between following the route you ascended or a short way down you can take the path on the left which climbs towards "Belair" ridge at (1783 m) before the trail descends towards the "chalets de Leschaux" and onwards towards the chalets of Plaine Joux. From there, head towards "Chosalets", then "des Ouyes". You then rejoin the route you ascended at "Ouyes". Continue down to "Les Carres.
