La Chèvrerie des Thoules welcomes you all year long in its farm, located in the heart of the Abondance Valley. Making and sales of goats cheese, and taste farm fresh produce.
La Chèvrerie des Thoules offers many activities, by reservation, to help you discover its herd and its various productions.
In winter :
Tuesdays :
In the center of the Abondance valley, Caroline and Gérard will introduce you to their passion for goats and mountain agriculture.
You will discover the backstage of their farm, you will be able to enjoy the kids and goats, observe the making of cheese ... learn about milking, while ending the visit with a tasting of their products.
Duration: 1 hour.
Prices: child - 10 years old € 5 - adult € 7.
Wednesdays from 2 p.m .:
Pony ride, under the responsibility of a parent, by reservation.
Duration: 20 minutes.
Prices: € 10 per child.
From 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m .: Sale of pancakes and hot chocolate with goat's milk.
Thursday afternoons:
In a typical goat farm, supervised by Guillaume from "Nature en Conscience", discover the time of a snack, the richness of the wild plants of our mountains, their culinary and medicinal uses.
In the program :
- Making of an apple juice flavored with the scents of our forests
- Mixture of fresh goat cheese with local herbs
- Demonstration of how to make a mountain balm to protect against winter ailments
- Snack with farm products and preparations made together
- Visit of the goats and kids and initiation to milking a resin goat
Prices: child - 10 years € 8 - adult € 12.
In summer :
Wednesday morning: departures 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.: with Aline, Guide in the Middle Mountain, a fun orientation course and discovery of the Thoules goat farm, followed by a snack of farm products.
Thursday morning: nature on your plate. Treat yourself to a moment in nature to meet the wild plants of our mountains. Around the goat farm, Guillaume will introduce you to their culinary and medicinal uses. We will then associate certain picked plants with fresh goat cheese. Activity followed by a snack of farm products.
